Morning Star Christian School is a 501[C][3] non-profit corporation.

Winter Changes:

  • Children love to play in the snow. Please be sure they bring a warm jacket, snow boots, gloves and a hat.
  • Please be at the bus stop on time. Sometimes the bus may run late because of poor road conditions, but don't count on it. Please do not call the office unless the bus is more than 15 min. late or you know of a breakdown. For safety sake, do not call the bus driver on his or her cell phone unless there is an urgent need.
  • If you are driving, please allow plenty of time to get to school. With the weather you might consider using the bus service. The charge is $60 per month per family. That is a little more than $3 a day for peace of mind. Call Mr. Marks if you have any questions about the bus route. You will also find the routes posted under the bus routes link in the menu.
  • Listen to KBND 1110 AM or KNLR 97.5 FM or watch KTZV ch. 21 for news of school closures. Please do not call the office to ask if school will be closed. If the public school is closed or delaying due to weather conditions, our school will take the same action.
  • Winter driving brings on a whole new list of concerns. Safety in our parking lot is very important. The cold weather brings obscured visibility because of windows that fog up or become snow covered. Please use the middle spaces as "Pull-Through," so that you will not need to back up. The drive through lane is working very well. Please do not park there longer than necessary to pick up your child.

Asbestos Notification:

In accordance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, we are hereby notifying staff, parents, and students that our buildings do NOT contain friable asbestos in any construction materials. There is encapsulated asbestos in the wall of one fire proof cabinet and one stove.

Asbestos has been found to be a pulmonary health hazard. Encapsulated asbestos does not pose a health hazard. Our engineer of record has certified that all building materials are free of asbestos. An asbestos file and management plan is on file in the school office.
