The school staff met and discussed our fund raising efforts and needs for the balance of the school year. On one hand, we want to be sensitive to our families not to do so many that it becomes a burden. On the other hand we don't want to have to charge for the field trips. In the next 6 weeks there will be some well thought out fund raising activities that will focus on raising money from the community rather than just our school families. For this reason, we will not have a penny drive this year. You will see notes home from each class outlining these fund raising activities. We will ask for your help to make these successful. Thank you for your help.
Although we will not be having a formal penny drive this year, for those of you who have been saving, we will have our change tube set up. Any money collected will go towards new carpet.
The insurance company has agreed to replace the flood damaged carpet during Spring Break. They have committed to replacing four classrooms and all of the common areas. That is over 65% of the total carpet in the building. That will make such an improvement in the looks of our Elementary building.
Please pray for God's provision to replace all of the carpet. It will take an additional $9,000 for the additional classrooms. As there is no extra money in the budget for this project, we are asking that you please bring in any extra change and place it in the "penny tube." Also, we will gladly except any donations that you feel you can make.
Thank You.
Recycling-Good for the environment, good for the school. A local company pays the school $2 to $10 for inkjet cartridges and toner cartridges. Bring them to school and deposit them in the drop boxes next to the secretary's office.
